Antoaneta Tsoneva: Rumen Radev’s position reduces Bulgaria, puts it in the corner – Bulgaria
“When the president attacks the government, he weakens Bulgaria’s position. This should not happen.” This was commented by the MP from “Democratic Bulgaria” (DB) Antoaneta Tsoneva in the morning block of “Nova TV”.
“We, as a European country and a NATO member, must defend Ukraine’s freedom,” she said, recalling that there were currently three draft parliamentary decisions to support the country’s armed attack. “One is for Democratic Bulgaria, which includes military-technical assistance. This is the wording we will support. In our opinion, this should be adopted by parliament,” Tsoneva said.
As for the position of the coalition partners from the BSP, who are threatening to leave the coalition if it is assumed that the country cannot maintain military aid in Ukraine, Tsoneva said: “It cannot be ruled by fear. There can be no coalition. , constructed around blackmail. Bulgaria was attacked in the evening, our gas was stopped. “
“Unilaterally, the treaties have not been changed and we refuse to implement them. This thing has been severely manipulated in recent times – our levels of highly unreliable data that they have European countries and companies ready to do so. Yesterday you had a meeting of European energy ministers. and the Commissioner for Energy has categorically stated that no one can think of paying in rubles because it violates European sanctions, “Tsoneva said.
In order to stay in power, Democratic Bulgaria wants the coalition to achieve “an organized decisive response in defense of the national interest.” Broad majorities in parliament have been admissible on geopolitical issues, Tsoneva said. She does not expect after tomorrow’s vote in the National Assembly to be approved by the minority. “I hope that there will be a majority of dignity in the parliament and that the leaders of the page will speak and behave in a way that preserves the dignity of Bulgarian citizens,” Tsoneva said.
“I was in Ukraine and I was struck by the courage of the Ukrainians. These people are doing everything possible not to panic. I call on the politicians here not to allow themselves to scare society that if we act like everyone else in the free world, we will be involved in war. “A position that shrinks Bulgaria and puts it in the corner. When you are not at the table as an equal partner, you are on the menu. You do not negotiate with the Russians when you are bent, when you lose your position. This should not happen,” he said.
She called on no political leader to allow himself to induce society with fear, not to scare him that if Bulgaria acts like all countries in the free world, the country will be involved in the war. This is a position that shrinks, puts Bulgaria in the corner, said Antoaneta Tsoneva.
