Artists from Ukraine on the program of the concert organized at the Metronum in Toulouse
Several artists will follow one another on the Metronum stage for the occasion. Oleg Skrypka of rock band Vopli Vidopliasova is considered a figure of the resistance in his country. At 58, he could have left Ukraine before the Russian invasion, but he chose to stay in order to organize the resistance. He granted the distribution of water and the establishment of barricades.
Khrystyna Soloviy, 29, is another figure in the Ukrainian resistance. Normally, this indie pop diva sings about love. From now on, she makes her songs weapons of war. Above all, she composed “Ukrainian Fury”, a hymn to the resistance to the tune of Bela ciao, as told She.
For its part, Patsyki and Franeka, is described as the “new sensation that mixes hip-hop and Ukrainian folklore”. The group has around twenty titles on Spotify and some six hundred fans on the platform.
A figure from the south-west will also take the stage at the Metronum for the charity concert in favor of Ukraine. It is Joan of Nadau. But the organizers announce that other “surprises will await the public”.
