“The Best of Portugal” returns to Brussels in June. CAP takes more than 50 agri-food companies
The CAP — Confederation of Farmers of Portugal, dAfter two years of forced pause due to the pandemic, it organizes again in Brussels “The Best of Portugal” on the 18th and 19th of June, bringing together more than 50 national agri-food companies.
Celebrating the 8th edition, expectations are not high on the return to Parque do Centenário for a strong promotion of Portuguese agri-food among commercial agents and consumers, only in Belgium, but also in France, the Netherlands and Luxembourg, says CAP.
And exclusive products that “Portuguese companies that are interested in promoting theirs have a unique opportunity here to promote, beyond borders and to open paths for international contacts”.
Registrations
Registration for participation in this event is still open and costs 1,500 euros, plus VAT, which includes: stand/tent (3×3) with chair and table, transport of a Euro pallet of product in a refrigerated environment. Travel and accommodation are the responsibility of the participating entities.

Luís Mira, secretary general of CAP, which is a major driver of this international initiative, expects the number of visitors19 and will receive around 40 thousand people in an “exhibition that is also a party with free admission”, he explains.
Municipality of Santarém is guest of honor
This 8th edition of “The best of Portugal” will be attended by senior representatives of the Portuguese Government and European institutions, and in 2022, the Municipality of Santarém will be the guest of honor, taking the opportunity to promote its attractions, gastronomy, culture and handicrafts in the capital of Ribatejo. With its regional culture, it will join the approximately 50 national companies that have already guaranteed their presence with their products of excellence that have made this event a reference for the quality of products from Portugal.
The most common products already know in the “Best of Portugal” that everyone can find the “best that is produced in our country, mainly, such as wines, edibles, fruits and vegetables, m. sausages and other innovative products from the national agri-food chain” defends Luís Mira.
