Several incidents with violent mask refusers shook Austria at the weekend. As reported, an drunk from Klagenfurt punched a bus driver in the face because he didn’t want to put on a mask when boarding. In another episode, a 71-year-old passer-by who wanted to stop the fleeing perpetrator was pushed to the ground.
And in Salzburg, too, the police finally had to intervene. Officials were told on Saturday morning that a woman was rioting and beating wildly. According to witnesses, the 24-year-old woman from Carinthia was made aware of the obligation to wear an FFP2 mask on public transport (trolleybus).
Three injured, aggressor goes free
That was reason enough for the woman from Carinthia to start beating another woman like mad, seriously injuring her. Two other women rushed to help, but were also attacked and injured by their kicks and punches.
The police were finally able to overpower the aggressor and clarify the matter. Despite serious allegations, she was released and reported.
