Zlatan Ibrahimovic HATED Edinson Cavani when they played together in PSG, claims former teammate Michael Ciani … when he reveals the Swedish legend “did not like” if others were “close” to the Uruguay striker
- Zlatan Ibrahimovic is said to have despised ex-PSG teammate Edinson Cavani
- Michael Ciani, who played alongside Ibrahimovic in the LA Galaxy, made the claim
- Sweden legend Ibrahimovic and Cavani were together at PSG from 2013 to 2016
- Forward colleague Cavani has followed Ibrahimovic’s trip to Manchester United
Edinson Cavani was one of four players Zlatan Ibrahimovic hated during his career, a former teammate of the Sweden legend has claimed.
Uruguay’s striker Cavani has followed the path of Swedish legend Ibrahimovic by moving from Paris Saint-Germain to Manchester United – and there was some love between the couple during the time at the Parc des Princes, according to Michael Ciani.
Defender Ciani shared a locker room with Ibrahimovic when the fiery forward began his spectacular gig in LA Galaxy 2018, and the retired former French national team player has said that the AC Milan talisman’s contempt extended to Cavani’s friends.

Ciani told RMC Sport: ‘If you’re close to Cavani, Ibra does not like it. Either you are with Ibra, or you are against him.
He told me everything was fine [then-manager] Laurent Blanc and PSG. The only person he did not agree with was Cavani.
“He told me he only hated three or four people in his career … and one of them was Cavani.”
Ibrahimovic and Cavani formed a terrifying pair on the pitch and won Ligue 1 during each of the three seasons they were together among a host of domestic trophies with the French giants.

Both players scored well over 100 goals for the club, with Ibrahimovic spending almost two seasons at United after leaving PSG in 2016 and Cavani moving to Old Trafford 2020, where he has scored 19 goals in 56 games.
Now 40 and still reaching the heights with Serie A table tops AC Milan, Ibrahimovic has become infamous for making demands on his teammates during his extraordinary career.
The former goal scorer in Malmö, Ajax, Juventus, Inter Milan and Barcelona averaged almost one goal in the match during a record-breaking season in Major League Soccer with Galaxy, and England’s champion Ashley Cole saw the sharper side of Ibrahimovic’s personality when he was a part of their squad 2018.
When discussing Ibrahimovic 2021, Cole said: ‘He has two personalities. With us in the dressing room, he was brilliant, quiet, very humble – but for the media, he was God.
“He had moments where he came into the locker room and really told people [they had a] s *** touch – “can not run, you are slow”. But in front of the media, his personality changed. ‘
The revered veteran has scored eight goals in 20 league games this season for Milan, who are two points ahead of nearest rivals Inter with four games left.
