“This joint action of Ukraine and Poland is aimed at awakening the conscience of many citizens of Western Europe. These symbolic images, which show the contrast between everyday life in Ukraine and everyday life in Western Europe, should show us what time we live. I do not need to allow this war to continue. Yes, it is difficult to divide in this defeat, but … it is a reality. I do not need to turn a blind eye to reality, “said Polish Ambassador to Austria Iolanta-Roza Kozlowska during the action.
She stressed that Russia is now committing genocide in Ukraine, and the war crimes of Russian troops are not accidental acts, but well-planned. “Murders, torture, rape and executions of civilians with their hands tied behind their backs, targeted attacks on houses, hospitals and kindergartens – that’s how Russia planned this war. And it is our political and moral responsibility to stop these horrific acts of war crimes by the Russian army in Ukraine, “said the Polish ambassador.
The diplomat added that the Russian war against Ukraine is “a point of no return that should completely change relations between Russia and Europe.” In this regard, Kozlovskaya created that the European Union should adopt a new package of sanctions against Russia, which it has embargo on Russian oil and oil and natural gas in order to deprive the Kremlin of profits and opportunities to finance further war. According to her, the Polish government “will do everything possible to impose an embargo on Russian oil and gas at the European level,” and demands that all European governments support it.
“Ukraine is defending not only its independence and freedom. It is also fighting for our freedom, for the freedom of Western and Central Europe. European values are at stake. And Ukraine is defending these values. Our moral duty is to help Ukrainians … We must stop Russia and Putin. We must stop this crazy war! ” – statement by the Polish ambassador.
For his part, Ambassador of Ukraine to Austria Vasyl Giminets reported on the latest developments surrounding the Russian invasion and new casualties and destruction on the Ukrainian side. According to him, Ukrainians live with the hope that the war will end as soon as possible, but in this hope they do not become weak and they continue to fight actively. Instead, Putin, realizing that he will not be able to conquer Ukraine, is trying to intimidate and break the psychological civilian population by bombing the Ukrainian city.
“The whole Ukrainian nation is now united. Because everyone understands that we have to win this one war. And we will win it by talking about our future and freedom … But what is also important, and this is the goal of our community with actions – to make it clear in Europe that Putin’s barbaric war is against free Europe, against all countries in Europe! It is important that Europeans feel that we are talking about our common future and our common interests and values, “Khiminets said.
He called on European governments to step up pressure on Russia through sanctions and to work together to bring wine to justice.
As reported, the Polish government has launched a campaign Stop Russia Now! (“Stop Russia Now!”) So that Europe does not forget about the war that Russia has waged against Ukraine. It is that cars with billboards about the war in Ukraine bypass the cities of Western and Southern Europe. In addition, the action takes place on social networks.
