Basket. NF2 (play-offs) : Trégueux étouffe Bordeaux – Basket
NF2 (dams). Tregueux BCA – Bordeaux: 70-61
“We had trouble realizing that we were in the play-offs but after everything went up, the cardio, the intensity…” The words of Léa Sionneau echo the complicated start to the match for the two teams. A lot of tension and the TBCA misses easy shots… A very rhythmic first quarter but neither team manages to gain the upper hand over the other and separates after ten perfect minutes on a draw (15- 15).
Always elbow to elbow for almost the entire quarter, Bordeaux gradually slowed down, the fault of a big Tregueusian defense. Léa Sionneau, in play-off mode, single-handedly defeated the Bordeaux defense with these 19 units in this first half. +6 (31-25, 17′) then + 11 (37-26, 19′), the TBCA took control of this match and returned to the locker room with an interesting lead (37-30).
No panic rated TBCA
The start of the second period is complicated for the TBCA. Guilty of an abnormal error, Bordeaux took advantage of these missteps to come back level with the Reds and Whites (46-43, 26′). But the strength of the Trégueusiennes is not to panic and they are still ahead of the last quarter (51-46).
The end of the match is ultra-defensive and the intensity is still there. Hands on hips, the players struggle to recover from all the effort they put in during the game. With 40 seconds to go, Camille Le Gris knocked out Bordeaux for good with a three-pointer that gave his team a ten-point lead. The TBCA won the match 70 to 61 and gave themselves the right to believe in the Final Four. Léa Sionneau, precious throughout the meeting, concluded: “I had good chances in attack in the first half, in the second a little less, but I concentrated in defense and it worked for us”.
