Toulouse: first flea market this weekend at the Hippodrome de la Cépière
On April 30 and May 1, around twenty antique dealers unfold their merchandise at the Hippodrome de la Cépière. A first.
An ideal outing for this weekend. On April 30 and May 1, meet at the Hippodrome de la Cépière in Toulouse for an antiques and flea market fair. This event “Au fil du temps” welcomes around twenty professionals around furniture, jewellery, glassware and other decorative objects from the 18th, 19th and 20th centuries. “I organize several trade fairs throughout the year, specifies Charly Ceppelot, responsible for this event. After the last empty dressing room, particularly successful at the Hippodrome, several exhibitors asked me to come to this place. It’s a first. We hope for great success.”
Real works of art
Yannick Reilles and his partner François Florès, exhibitors, are delighted to come to the Hippodrome, present their articles: “Since 1976, we have been exhibiting old and contemporary Oriental rugs, pieces created in particular in Iran where each city has its own specificity of wool and silk rugs”. This know-how perpetuated from generation to generation has been a great success with the public: “We were recently at the Foire de Toulouse and we worked very well. And this despite the price between 3000 and 3500 €, represents a real investment. Each carpet tells a story, an encounter. This is what the customer is looking for above all. These articles made from vegetable pigments, constituting true works of art”.
An article sought after by customers, from liberal professions who like to install these pieces in their waiting room. Or knowledgeable collectors delighted to own such pieces.
April 30 and May 1, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., Hippodrome de la Cépière. Free admission.
