2nd league: Wacker Innsbruck saves a point late at Juniors OÖ – football
Pasching – Friday, April 29, 2022, 8:19 p.m
Wacker Innsbruck won a point in the 27th round of the Admiral 2nd league in the away game against FC Juniors OÖ with a late 3:3.
The guests from Tyrol set the tone in the first half. In the 14th minute, Ronivaldo plays a great one-two with Joao Luiz, alone in front of Juniors keeper Polster the Brazilian’s nerves and pushes in from a tight angle – 1:0.
After that, the traditional club, which is on the brink, remains on the trigger, but cannot convert its chances into goals. Among other things, Seo (20th) leaves a good chance of making it 2-0.
In the second half the tide turns
At half-time, Juniors coach Manuel Takacs brings four new players and provides urgent impetus. After the Upper Austrians didn’t take place at all in the first half, they promptly equalized with the first shot on goal.
Wimmer (58th) drops the ball in front of his feet in the penalty area and takes a dry shot into the left corner – 1:1. Shortly thereafter, the Juniors even turn the game: Weixelbraun (63.) takes the ball with him and slams the ball wonderfully into the right corner from 18 meters.
Then Wacker reports back
Again, only eight minutes later, the home side build up a supposedly comfortable cushion when Kadlec (71.) uses a mistake by Wacker goalkeeper Knaller and nets it confidently. Ronivaldo (78th) puts together his double pack shortly after the 1: 3 and Gründler (83rd) ensures the renewed tie in this game.
In the end it stayed 3:3, which puts FC Wacker Innsbruck in ninth place with 37 points. The Juniors OÖ see their first win after five games and are still at the bottom of the league with 16 points.
