A path to which I have dedicated myself through the creation of the teacher who guarantees the rights of children and adolescents, a figure who collaborates with the school manager has the task of alerting public institutions in the area, colleagues, the family to prevent situations risk for children and young people and daring answers. ” – The UNICEF Regional President for Liguria, Franco Cirio declared – “In this context, the collaboration of institutions for serious and qualified structures is indispensable, armed with resources capable of indicating a clear path to families who often do not have the time and of the means necessary to know the causes of the inconveniences in depth “.
“We are here to make culture. The intervention on youth and family distress must pass through an interdisciplinary network all the forces enter the field and put themselves into play. It is often difficult to dialogue with parents, frightened by institutional interventions and unprepared to face their own and their children’s difficulties. According to what is also suggested by the “Guidelines for child-friendly justice” adopted by the Ministerial Committee of the Council of Europe on November 17, 2010, the professionals who come into contact with the new generations have an obligation to train to refine their skills. listening and dialogue with them. From this point of view, a priority and irreplaceable role is played by the school given the daily contact of teachers with children. continued Liana Maggiano President of AIAF – Italian Association of Lawyers for the Family and Minors – Liguria – Member of the UNICEF Observatory for the Rights of Children and Adolescents Liguria.
