Minister Silvio Schembri Invites His Five Shadows of the PN for One-One Meetings
Economy Minister Silvio Schembri had one-on-one meetings with five PN MPs who will be following parts of his portfolio during the next legislature.
Schembri, together with Parliamentary Secretary for EU Funds Chris Bonett, met with Ivan J Bartolo, Robert Cutajar, Rebekah Cilia, Ivan Castillo and Bernice Bonello, who are pursuing the economy, small businesses, land, the maritime sector and EU funds respectively.
“If our country is to continue to succeed, we must work together more regularly and listen to different opinions,” Schembri said later. “That way, we can make sure the economy works for everyone.”
Cilia thanked Schembri for the invitation, while also stating that it is important that everyone works together for the good of Malta.
Schembri becomes the prime minister who invited his PN colleagues to a meeting.
Meanwhile, the Minister for Gozo Clint Camilleri met with the PN Spokesperson for Gozo Alex Borg, with Borg saying that he had requested the meeting.
“We discussed a number of topics and plans for the good of the Gozitan people, as well as a number of challenges that Gozo is facing,” said Borg. “I believe that although we do not agree with each other on a political level, we will surely be doing our best to move Gozo forward.”
Do you think that the politicians of the PL and the PN should meet more regularly?
