VENICE TAKES THE LOOKS OF A WOMAN IN OZPETEK’S WORK
The meeting with Venice, a splendid lady immersed in the waters, takes place in the square of the Roman museum, inside a curious magic box: a red cube of wood and mirrors whose threshold is the access to a parallel, unique and unforgettable universe. . Here the viewer is literally enveloped by images and sounds that represent the lagoon city through architectural details, magnetic gazes and sensual liquids.
KASIA SMUTNIAK PROTAGONIST OF “VENETIKA”
Ferzan Ozpetek has achieved Venice immersing oneself in the city, becoming part of it, to give it back to the public through an original and human portrait: Kasia Smutniak in apnea, shot among the projections of the most famous pictorial representations of Venice, of its unmistakable glimpses and views. The images of the video are also reflected on a pool of water, while the unmistakable scent of the lagoon spreads in the air. The experience is accompanied by the music of Sezen Aksu.
