After the presidentialroom for legislative ! On the first constituency of Seine-Maritimewhich covers Rouenthe forces are starting to come together. Damien Adam (LREM) formalize, unsurprisingly, his candidacy to stand for a new term as a member of the National Assembly.
Damien Adam, the young deputy who has become experienced
The outgoing deputy, 32, sent himself “strong from the past five years. Now I know the workings of the National Assembly. I think I was able to show a certain solidity and a remuneration ”.
Anyone who may have been mocked for his youth or that phrase about “unemployed on vacation in the Bahamas” wants introduce yourself as an experienced elected official. And dependent on Emmanuel Macron’s report. “I have no trouble defending our record,” he assured 76news.
Citizens don’t take notice, but the advances we have made are beginning to bear fruit.
He cites pell-mell: the drop in unemployment, the drop in taxes, the means allowed to the police and justice, the fight against attacks, feminicides, incivility and juvenile delinquency, and above all, his horse of battle, the fight against climate change. “It’s a shame because few emphasize it, but I am proud to say that during the mandate, we reduced greenhouse gas emissions by 12% in France. »
Ecology, purchasing power…
And for him, “ecology and purchasing power, and ecology and economy are not incompatible, quite the contrary”. Damien Adam wants an industry of solutions to climate changean ecology that allows the French to regain purchasing power.
Another crucial subject according to the deputy-candidate, institutional reform. “I am all for a transparent commission on this issue. All subjects must be put on the table”, he advocates, referring for example to the introduction of proportional representation.
With regard to more local issues, Damien Adam assures us that he “regularly steps up to the plate with the ministers” on subjects such as the eastern bypass or the new Paris-Normandy line (LNPN). “But we will have other subjects that will emerge, on port logistics, with Haropa, the Seine Axis”, he considers. According to him, there will also be a lot of work on the hospital and justice.
“We are going to talk about the substance of the proposals”
Faithful to Emmanuel Macron, taking up without forking the elements of language of the candidate’s campaign, the one who entered politics for the first time in 2017 is ready for a new electoral battle. “During my mandate, I wanted to be accountable for my action. The campaign is different when you’re outgoing, but I’m an optimist and a benevolent. We’re going to talk about the substance of the proposals and I’m not going to hit on my opponents because the French don’t like that. »
And what would happen if from the majority it were to end up in the opposition? “I am viscerally European, attached to the climate, that we support more those who have the least, to install a quiet life with assured security, I support all realistic measures aimed at improving purchasing power. As a parliamentarian, I will support these measures, wherever they come from. »
