Near Toulouse. A hundred animals seized after the discovery of corpses in a farm

We don’t do anything with animals. Monday April 25, 2022, the gendarmes of Haute-Garonne announced that they had saved a hundred animals on a farm located south of Toulouse.
A macabre discovery
In the premises of this company, several dead animals and bones were found on a farm. A macabre discovery that prompted the gendarmes to Cazeres to open an investigation to determine the causes of death.
The investigations quickly bore fruit. A veterinarian made the findings on site confirmed the poor treatment of animals present on the property.
More than 80 sheep seized
Supported by several associations and companies in the sector, the military proceeded to evacuate the animals. Among them, there are more than 80 sheep, 12 dogs, 6 cats, chickens and ducks.
“They were able to be seized and collected by suitable establishments in order to provide them with the necessary care”, indicating the gendarmes on their Facebook who take the opportunity to remind that “any mistreatment of an animal is punishable”.
Indeed, when a professional exercise or lets exercise, without necessity, of the ill-treatment towards the animals placed under its guard, it incurs one year of prison and 15 000 € of fine.
