Kevin Volland elected MVP of the demonstration in Saint-Etienne
Author of the second Monegasque goal and involved in two of the three other achievements during the big victory at the Cauldron against the Greens (4-1), the German striker was named man of the match by the fans of the Red and Whites on AS Monaco App.
He’s walking on water right now! Returning to a very good level since the click victory against Paris Saint-Germain at the end of March (3-0), Kevin Volland continues to be decisive. Involved in three goals (plus a penalty kick) in his last four league outings before the trip to Saint-Etienne, the Monegasque number 31 once again took part in the celebration at the Cauldron, scoring AS Monaco’s second goal ( success 4-1). His 8th but in Ligue 1 this season, a record to which we must add six assists.

A goal and an (almost) assist
The German striker, opportunistic scorer on a caviar from Gelson Martins, himself sent into orbit by Youssouf Fofana (2-0, 26th), could even have offered himself a new decisive pass. It is indeed he who serves on a plateau Ismail Jakobs in the 78th minute, who prefers to ensure by offering the goal of 4-1 to his friend Myron Boadu, perfectly placed. A millimeter pass in depth which would therefore have deserved an even better fate. Before that, Kevin “Mister” Volland had hampered Timothée Kolodziejczak in his intervention, leading the defender from Saint-Etienne to his side.
55 goals caused by Yedderland
The member of the Yedderland duo, who has just reached 55 goals caused this season (41 goals, 14 assists) in all competitions, is now involved in at least one but in four of his last five games in the top flight ( 3 goals, 1 assist), relieves Opta. Author of his 100th league goal in the European Big 5 against Troyes, to give the victory to the Red and Whites (2-1), Kevin Volland confirms his state of form in the final sprint.
Fifth MVP title
Like the team, which obtained its sixth success in a row in Ligue 1, the best current series in the five major European championships, our second top scorer was logically rewarded for his performance. He was elected MVP by Monegasque fans on the AS Monaco App, with 35% of the vote… ahead of his sidekick, Wissam Ben Yedder (30%)! Kevin thus validates his 5th trophy of the season, in addition to appearing in The Typical Team of the 34th day. Kudos to him!
