As for the Russian crude oil imported by Poland, Anna Moskwa informed that at the turn of this and the following year, futures contracts for deliveries expire, and not the governments of subsequent ones. Poland has already given up ad hoc purchases as part of spot transactions.
As assessed by the minister, in return our country strengthened with producers of companies from other directions. It also focuses on increasing the possibility of importing and producing warehouses for this raw material: expansion of the Gdańsk base by two tanks with a capacity of 100,000 square meters. m3 each and the expansion of the Oil Terminal in Gdańsk, which was increased by four tanks with an increase of 390 thousand. m3, which already has a total of 765 thousand. m3.
On the other hand, regarding the natural gas issue, Paweł Majewski, president of PGNiG, in the queue before the upgrade to Ukraine begins, that his company does not need to re-introduce the contract with Gazpro. Ten will expire at the end of 2022.
The Baltic Pipe is key
Anna Moskwa in response to the interpellation said that the Polish government “stands for the definition of the closest supplier” Poland bets everyone on the Baltic Pipe, i.e. the new gas pipeline, connects Norway, Denmark and Poland, which is above all. 10 billion m3 per year can flow through it, which is roughly as much as Poland imports from Russia through the Yamal gas pipeline.
The Minister of Climate reiterated that The beginning of entry through the Baltic Pipe is already in October this year, when the full capacity to achieve the achievement of January 1, 2023 appeared. In addition, it will be completed by the expansion of the LNG gas terminal in Świnoujście, which now may perhaps 5 billion m3 of network annually, and is to be another up to 6.3 billion, and in 2023 – up to 8 billion m3 a year.
A new LNG terminal will also be built in the Bay of Gdańsk, which will be able to be about 6.1 bcm per year in the perspective of 2027 and 2028. Poland, we are creating a new gas pipeline connection with systems in Lithuania and Slovakia.
It is worth noting that Poland itself is also a cost. In 2021, we extracted over 5 billion m3. For comparison – Poland’s annual demand for this raw material is to start with slightly more than 20 billion m3.
Poland can do without raw materials from Russia
Anna Moscow said at the beginning of March that overnight, Poland is in a position to prepare for the supply of raw materials from Russia. – We have supplies for fuel, gas and coal.
