(ANSA) – BOLOGNA, APRIL 21 – The Alpine troops will parade to the sea.

It could be a contradiction, according to the mayor of Rimini, Jamil Sadegholvaad, but shared instead “has the meaning of values ​​such as that of solidarity”. These are words that the mayor spoke at the presentation of the 93rd national meeting of the Alpine troops, which will take place between Rimini and San Marino from 5 to 8 May.

According to the organizers, about 90 thousand ‘black feathers’ will participate in the event, scheduled for 2020, but only now realized due to the pandemic.

It therefore begins on Thursday 5 May at 1 pm, at the Neri stadium in Rimini, for the inauguration of the meeting and the following day, at 6 pm, all the war flags of the Alpine regiments of the army will parade in the city, which will then be displayed at the Galli theater. On Saturday 7 May the event will move to San Marino, but the central day will be Sunday 8 May, when the parade on the city’s waterfront will begin at 9.

This year, claimed Sebastiano Favero, president of the National Alpine Association, “the 150th anniversary of the foundation of the national body and 100 years of that of the Bolognese-Romagna section occur”. It is also the eighth meeting held in Emilia-Romagna: the first dates back to 1933, in Bologna, while the last took place in 2013 in Piacenza.
