This first official photo of Charlene of Monaco, with her family, since her return to the Palace
On the occasion of Easter, the princess poses for the first time with her husband and her two children, under lush vegetation and a blazing sun.
Charlene of Monaco will have spent almost three months in Switzerland, in a specialized establishment, because of her health problems. On March 12, to everyone’s surprise, she finally returned to the Principality, in the greatest discretion, in order to “continue her recovery with her husband and children”. But it is time for the princess to resume her public activities. Thus, on the occasion of this Easter weekend, the Palace unveiled two official photographs, in which she appears, for the first time since her return, wrapped in her husband, the Prince of Monaco, and her two children, Jacques and Gabriella.
Lush return
In the first photo, the former swimming champion sits by a swimming pool with her family, under lush vegetation and bright sunshine. Charlene of Monaco, holds her baby girl in her bras, while her son poses in front of the prince, next to a large white rabbit. The princess wears her usual short cut, and her platinum blonde. In the second photograph, they left the villa and the chocolate eggs to go to the religious office. We see them from behind, in a church, listening to mass. “Prince Albert and Princess Charlene wish you a very happy Easter holiday” can we read, very soberly, below the publication.

The official missive, published on March 12, specified that “the next few weeks should allow the princess to recover completely in order to be able to gradually resume her official activities”. The latter had been admitted to a nursing home on November 23, 2021, “following great fatigue linked to her weakness”, as AFP recalled. This great fatigue was due in particular to a series of operations undergone because of an otolaryngological infection. The last one having taken place in South Africa, the country where she grew up.
