Toulouse: a demonstration against the two candidates of the second round brought together 300 people this Sunday
About 300 people appeared this Sunday, April 17 in Toulouse, to have announced the presence of Marine Le Pen and Emmanuel Macron in the second round of the presidential election.
Like this Saturday, a few demonstrations took place on Sunday, including one in Toulouse to protest against the duel between Marine Le Pen and Emmanuel Macron in the second round of the presidential election. Thus, in Toulouse, around 300 people gathered to march through the city.
Of this contingent of demonstrators, about half were anti-fascists, but in the procession voices were also raised against incumbent President Emmanuel Macron. Slogans such as “Let’s sink the far right!” ; “Neither Macron nor Le Pen, freedom, revolution!” or “Down with the state of the cops and fascists!”, were heard during the demonstration.
It started after a rally on Place Wilson, in the city center, around 3:00 p.m., to take the direction of François-Verdier, then towards the Saint-Cyprien district. Smoke bombs were cracked and firecrackers thrown into the procession.
Around 5:00 p.m., the demonstration ended, without the slightest notorious incident having been reported, according to the authorities.
