Portugal joins the top ten favorites to win Eurovision
The theme played by MARO is among the main candidates to win the contest scheduled for May.
And so, like someone who doesn’t want the thing, the theme “Saudade, Saudade” was climbing the table and convincing bettors that they could be a safe bet for victory. MARO’s song is now in the 10th position of the Eurovision ranking, just under a month from the start of the competition.
ONE table by Eurovision World shows, from the outset, that Portugal appears as one of the clear winners of the first semifinal, in eighth place in the list headed by Ukraine, which commands the general table. When it comes to winning the first prize, the Ukrainians of the Kalush Orchestra, perhaps spurred on by the public’s sympathy, lead unchallenged, with a 34 percent chance of winning.
This is followed by Italy with 18 and Sweden with 13. With the big favorites closed, there is a second squad formed by the United Kingdom, Poland, Spain, Greece, Norway and the Netherlands, with chances of victory between five and two percent. .
Despite having entered the top ten favorites, Maro has, according to the table, only a one percent chance of winning the final. That won’t, for sure, stop the Portuguese artist from giving everything, right from the first semifinal scheduled for May 10th. The final will then take place on May 14 in Turin, Italy.
