Gian Luca Demarco – openly about family traditions and love for Lithuania – ALWAYS
An Italian who came to Lithuania almost 15 years ago Gian Luca Demarco has created a great deal here. He has not only become known on television, published a cookbook, created a line of dairy products, but also created his own culinary studio – this is where the creative team of this day’s TV3 show “World by Women” will visit.
Although he has many achievements, the most important project of Gian Lucos is a family created with Lithuanian Egle. They are raising three children, and Easter is celebrated in the Italian-Lithuanian way. Tomorrow, the audience of the program “World by Women” will hear how Lithuanian Easter differs from Italian and what surprises the most famous Lithuanian Italian.
The story of the charismatic Gian Luca Demarco will cause a smile to many viewers of the show – this conversation with Kristina Rimienė, the host of the show, is so lively and full of humor.
Preparing for Easter Gian Lucos’ wives don’t bother – after all, all meals are prepared by a man. However, eggs are extremely important, so Egle has been looking for various greenery in the forest since the middle of the week. The man did not even suspect their existence. He will tell you what printing methods their family chooses and how our Easter traditions surprise Italians.
An Italian who loved Lithuania
However, this year is different – the shadow of the war in Ukraine inevitably touches Vešeimai. Gian Luca Demarco volunteers in the Lithuanian Armed Forces and believes that everyone should be responsible and prepared because they live in an awkward geopolitical location.
He does not spare beautiful words for Lithuania, its politicians and does not understand those who cry that it is bad to live here. “It simply came to our notice then Afigienai we live well in Lithuania. I can work, vacation, many of my friends tour homesteads, go to Turkey or ski in the winter. It is not the case that we live in poor quality. Therefore, I want to preserve that quality, ”says the Italian with love about Lithuania.
The chef of the show’s news will be inclined to be a patriot but not a nationalist, to learn not only to condemn politics but also to talk about it. And don’t be afraid that the war will start, because, according to Gian Luca Demarco, it has already started.
“I would like my Italy to follow the example of your assistance to Ukraine. We must not be sad that the war has started, but we must say that freedom is still healthy and we can already live. The miracle of Easter and resurrection is about death being defeated. Then go ahead and smile, you don’t have to be sad, it doesn’t help, ”the guest of the show will say.
Peculiarities of rest
Gian Luca will also talk about how she likes to relax on the show. It turns out that the family has a tradition – they go to Italy every year in June. “It is too cold in Lithuania – penguins should be brought to your sea. If we have a dolphin, for example, a penguin. The penguin is not necessarily an animal, it can also be an Italian who is on holiday in Lithuania and freezes in water that is not suitable for foreigners, ”as always, Gian Luca does not lack a sense of humor about the holidays.
And here is a man known to his wife Egle as a gift and an achievement, but she does not hide what the family has to face. Gian Luca will give viewers the show tips that can help save the family. They are really worth listening to.
Viewers will see how, along with host Gian Luca, a gourmet dish of lamb ribs with pistachios will be prepared. Those who want to find out the recipe of this presentation, whether an Italian grandmother is coming to the Italian and Lithuanian families and what the Italians think about their politics, are invited not to miss the Sunday show.
In the Easter nest – freedom of imagination and creativity
Kristina Rimienė, the host of the show “World by Women”, a floristic designer, will show you how to decorate an Easter-themed house and table in the section “Floristic Dessert”.
The basis of the composition will be a hand-made nest made of twigs, in which flowers and, of course, eggs will be placed. Hyacinths, buttercups, daffodils in pots, cut snow and tulips will cover the spring, and the ivy twig will envelop the nest and enliven it.
You can choose selected materials and flowers to create a composition. For spring to bloom in the home, imagination and creativity are often enough to create a greater miracle than luxury.
The World by Women on Sundays at 10 p.m. on TV3!
