BrusselsSeven new drinking water fountains will be added in Brussels this spring and summer. The first is reed, in September 2022 they will all be ready.
In 2021 there were already 27 in the pentagon and 46 in Brussels outside the pentagon. A few more will be added this summer. They ensure that everyone in Brussels has access to potable water. Homeless people, athletes, and tourists on a hot summer day.
One of these new fountains is already functional, in the colonial garden of Laeken. The others will follow later and will be in the Jean Sobieski garden in Laken, in the Vogelenzang in Anderlecht, in the Duden Park in Vorst, two fountains on the Woluwepromenade in Woluwe-Saint-Lambert and in the Halpoort Park. The latter should work from September.
The city is investing around 100,000 euros in the new fountains.
