PRACTICAL INFORMATION – How to go see the Long-Ma show at the Halle de la Machine, in Toulouse
On April 16 and 17, the Piste des Géants welcomes the last machine hosted by the Toulouse teams of the Halle de la Machine. To keep company with the Minotaur and the Spider, the impressive horse-dragon Long Ma arrived in Haute-Garonne on February 19. He will leave on May 9. But on this Easter weekend, the fairy animal makes his walk on the Giant’s Trail, in front of the Hall. For two days, visitors could see it galloping for free, and as with the Minotaur, riding on it (for a fee).
Possibility to come by metro and then by free shuttle
Three daily stagings outdoors are broadcast on Saturday and Sunday, at the end of the morning, in the middle of the afternoon and in the early evening. It is advisable to avoid taking the car to get to the site. Several possibilities :
- BY SUBWAY : Ramonville station (terminus line B) + exceptional shuttle Tisséo every 15 minutes, or walk 20 minutes from the station.
- BY BUS : Linéo 8 Piste des Géants stop or Line 23 Jardins de la Ligne stop. Reinforced frequency. Tisséo offers you an “event” return ticketat 3 euros.
- BY BIKE : Covered bicycle parking behind the Envol desPioneurs. Two VélÔ’Toulouse stations nearby.
- BY TRAIN : SNCF shuttle Matabiau > Montaudran in six minutes. Discount of –50% on the round trip from all stations between Toulouse and Carcassonne and to Montaudran, on April 16 and 17.
If the dragon horse has already wandered the streets of Calais (see next tweet) or Nantes, it will not leave the Montaudran district in Toulouse before its departure for China. In November 2018, nearly 900,000 people came to admire the Minotaur and Spider promenade in the Pink City.
