April 15, 2022 – Nova Hrvatska banka, i.e. Nova Hrvatska banka, officially begins operations within the wider Hrvatska poštanska banka (HPB) group after a long and extensive rehabilitation process.
As Business Diary writes, after a record year in which it achieved the best net profit in history in the amount of HRK 202 million, asset growth of HRK 27.9 billion and a capital adequacy ratio of 25.7 percent, Hrvatska poštanska banka successfully implemented another demanding project – rehabilitation of Sberbank dd, more precisely the future Nova Hrvatske banka dd
The Council of the Croatian National Bank (CNB/CNB) made a decision on the successful completion of the restructuring procedure, which will formally start operations as Nova Hrvatska banka dd within the HPB Group. With this takeover, the completion of the rehabilitation process and the merger of Nova Hrvatska banka, HPB ultimately strengthens its future position on the Croatian market. The rehabilitation process itself was completed in a short period of time, and the bank is stabilized and operating successfully.
The implementation of this demanding process is a new step in strengthening the entire business of HPB. As a new member of the HPB Group, Nova Hrvatska banka brings with it a significant client base, a complementary portfolio and additional strength for business growth and further expansion.
“After last year’s record result, we believe that synergistic effects will bring new benefits to our clients, shareholders and employees,” said Marko Badurina, President of the HPB Management Board.
The following were appointed to the Management Board of Nova Hrvatska banka: Tadija Vrdoljak, President of the Management Board, Boris Bekavac and Ognjen Brakus, members of the Management Board.
