The Slovaks had an excellent start to the match. The French goalkeeper was first checked by Nátny, then, after an individual action, he pushed through to the end of Šotek. Feneš’s charges continued to put pressure in a power play, which they did not use. It was not until later that Repčík succeeded, who opened the first score from the right side. The popular duel had the game under control, the French surpassed the movement and individual quality. Dvorský could have added a second goal, but only the goalkeeper was in a good position. Guidoux was able to equalize, but in one of the few chances of the guests in the 1st period, Elias caught him.
However, the French got the start of the second period, Elias was overtaken by Tavernier. In the 26th Honz, the Slovaks were leading again, when he escaped and succeeded 2: 1 after the backhand bluff. However, their joy lasted only two and a half minutes, when Tavernier pushed his way through Štrbák again and ended up over Elias’ rash. Fifteen seconds later, Kopecký took advantage of the power play and again tilted the lead to the side of the Slovaks. They continued to be more active, but the French set out for quick breaks, and after one of them, Tavernier had a chance to hit. However, he only hit the construction of the goal, which the referee also checked with the video referee. The Slovaks needed to break the goal of the hockey players, they managed to break away from it with another goal and they managed to achieve the merit of Čiernik. But then they left room for the Taverniers again, and the Frenchman finally completed the hat-trick.

Right at the beginning of the third twenty-fourth, the French played in numerous advantages, but they did not develop a chance. Guidoux alone got ahead of ELiaš, but the goalkeeper of Slovakia took an important intervention. Ten minutes before the end, Dvorský could have decided, but only a mistake stopped his opponent in a clear chance. However, only Čiernik, who scored his second goal in the match, scored a goal in the 55th. Dvorský scored the final point behind the duel in the empty net.
