Charlene of Monaco runs away from the palace again, where did she go?
Barely returned to Monaco with his relatives, the wife of Prince Albert II quickly took a plane to fly to a new destination. Since returning from convalescence, Charlene has taken up residence at Roc Angel, on March 12, property of the Grimaldi where she likes to go when the pressure of power is too strong. More than just a country house, this estate is located in the town of Peille and overlooks the principality. The couple and their children usually work there on weekends or during the holidays. A soothing place set back from Monegasque social life. But it’s not at Roc Angel that Charlene recently caught up. Seen at Nice airport at the end of March, the former professional swimmer decided to go to Corsica.
It’s everyday Corriere della Sera who broke this news. If it was assumed that Charlene of Monaco flew to Switzerland to honor a medical appointment, this is not the case. Caroline of Monaco’s sister-in-law would have traveled to the Isle of Beauty, as part of an agreement between the prince and the princess. Albert II of Monaco seems to want to protect his wife from any stress and would have offered to go to Corsica to rest. The prince’s palace has not yet made any statement on this subject.
A soothing place for the princess
Charlene de Monaco is particularly fond of Corsica. In 2020, the mother of Jacques and Gabriella confided to Point of view her admiration for this island, which had many similarities with South Africa. “Corsica has a lot in common with the country where I grew up”, she said. It is also in this part of France that she prepared for the Riviera Water Bike Challenge. Her husband, Prince Albert II, had come to coach her for this race. A land that also has a lot of importance for her. Since 2015, she has been traveling regularly to Corsica to organize awareness campaigns against drowning for young children.
