Présidentielles 2022 : comment a-t-on voté à Bordeaux ?
Emmanuel Macron came first in Bordeaux, as was the case in the first round in 2017. He is followed by Jean-Luc Mélenchon, then Marine Le Pen. The ecologist Yannick Jadot doubles his national score (8.17% against 4.63%) in the Gironde capital, which became an ecologist in July 2020 with the election of Pierre Hurmic.
The abstention rate was 23.49%.
Rise of the National Rally
In Bordeaux, Marine Le Pen came in 3rd position, with 8.52% of the vote unlike 2017, where she came in 5th position behind Emmanuel Macron, Jean-Luc Mélenchon, François Fillon and Benoît Hamon. The second far-right candidate, Eric Zemmour, came in 5th position with 6.94% of the vote, behind Yannick Jadot. The two candidates therefore total more votes than 5 years ago.
Jean-Luc Mélenchon his best score for a presidential election in Bordeaux with 29.06% of the vote, against 23.40% in 2017. Emmanuel Macron arrives behind the candidate of France Insoumise in three of the five Bordeaux cantons, in the districts of Bordeaux north and south, as well as at La Bastide, and in Talence, Bègles, Bassens, Cenon, Lormont and Floirac. Emmanuel Macron came first in the big cities of the Metropolis: Mérignac, Pessac, Le Bouscat, Eysines…
As for the left-wing parties, land of the president of the Gironde department (Jean-Luc Gleyze, socialist party), of the president of metropolitan France (Alain Anziani, socialist party) and of the president of the New Aquitaine Region (Alain Rousset, socialist), it collapses: Anne Hidalgo (PS) achieved 2.28%, Fabien Roussel (French Communist Party) 1.67% and Natalie Arthaud (Lutte Ouvrière) 0.26%. Philippe Poutou from Bordeaux, from the New Anti-Capitalist Party, won 0.93% of the vote.
The second round will take place on June 24, and will therefore see outgoing President Emmanuel Macron and the candidate of the National Rally Marine Le Pen compete.
