After two bonus wins against Italy (39-6) and Ireland (40-5, the Women’s XV of France to continue its course without fail in the 2022 6 Nations Tournament with a new success at 5 points against theScotland in Glasgow this Sunday, April 10, 2022 (8-28). Les Bleues, after a mixed start, knew how to impose their game, to even have the offensive bonus from the break.
20 minutes average, before lightning
If there is a small black point in this tricolor victory, it is the start of the match. Taken in the duels, undisciplined (7 penalties conceded), and deprived of the ball (72% possession for Scotland) during the first 20 minutes of the match, the Tricolores suffered the enemy assaults. Fortunately, the defense held firm. And the teammates of Céline Ferer, who was celebrating her 50and for the occasion, were able to demonstrate a selection of icy efficiency.
Indeed, on its first foray, France took the advantage thanks to a nice solo feat by Laura Sansus (7and). Jessy Tremoulière, she kept pushing back the opponent with a masterful kicking game. The Scots ran out of steam, and even cracked completely with tries from Tremoulière (28and), Sansus (36and) and Hermet (40and). At half-time, the Blues had done the essentials, having the offensive bonus in their pocket.
France in management mode in the second half
The Scotland of Jade Konkel, Chloe Rollie and Lisa Thomson, all three passed through the LMRCV in France, missed the inevitable as soon as they returned from the locker room, by the pillar Bartlett (41st), and continued to hole up in touch, deactivated by the presences of Ferer and Hermet. With the entry of the substitutes, the rhythm fell, which was not to displease the Bleues in management mode.
Leaving possession of the ball to their opponent, France was content to defend, and chained in parallel the faults of indiscipline (yellow for Annery, 65and). Les Bleues yielded under the battering, Rollie (68and) Saving the honor of his own. Clumsiness, bad choice: the end of the match was admittedly very laborious, and we regretted that the girls of Annick Hayraud did not score the slightest point in the second act. Next match: Wales in 2 weeks.
