Milan Prat was in a hurry – French Boxing Federation
The undefeated Milan Prat (15 v) seized the IBF Youth super-welterweight belt, beating by KO in the second round the Mexican Jose Angel Flores Chan (9 v, 6 d, 2 n) last night in Grande Synthe.
This fight was the star poster of the big meeting promoted by Gérard Teysseron / Europrom which featured two French championships and a European women’s championship. The young French prodigy was to dispute this belt in February against the Ukrainian Bohdan Shtonda, unfortunately the fight was canceled at the last moment due to war. Milan Prat is an excellent boxer and moreover he has a formidable punching power, which largely explains the difficulties in finding him quality opponents.
Last night the brave Jose Angel Flores Chan faked a round, the first, where he spent most of his time spinning. Milan Prat took the temperature, without rushing, a direct from the front arm then a right and the Mexican quickly understood that it would be mission impossible to leave with victory in the country.
On the second round, Milan Prat increased his pressure and started to push his shots. A first left hook blew his opponent’s mouth guard who a few moments later managed to counter the French champion with his left, it will be the only notable blow of Jose Angel Flores Chan during the five minutes that the fight lasted .
Milan Prat placed an uppercut to the chin, then his destructive right to the top of the head sent the Mexican to the mat. Counted then raised but staring into space, the referee logically stopped Jose Angel Flores Chan.
“I train hard and take all fights seriously, named Milan Prat at the microphone of Fight Nation. It’s a first step at the international level, I’m ready for all the challenges”. When asked if he was ready to meet the best French super-welterweights, Milan Prat did not close the door, specifying however; “the higher we go on the international level, the more we will be inevitably brought to fight us. »
After the national title and this IBF belt, Milan Prat should now be eyeing the European Union title.
