Rally de Portugal will have Ogier, but will not have Loeb
A duel between the two Frenchmen was planned, but the nine-time World Rally Championship will have a DTM race in the third week of May.
Sébastien Loeb will not be able to continue the same, in the next Rally of Portugal, from 19 to 22 of May, because on those dates he will be racing in the DTM, with a Ferrari from AlphaTauri.
The French duel with Sébastien Ogier, who animated the Monte Carlo Rally, was scheduled for Portugal but will be postponed, although the Toyota driver is lined up.
What’s coming, what happened yesterday, what came before, what I posted on Twitter, what’s to come, what’s still coming, what’s coming even more months. Ogier replied: “Come on, Seb, don’t be shy. Announce the Rally of Portugal so we can have some fun”.
The truth is that Loeb, 48 years old, will also come to Portugal, but already on the 29th, as he will make his DTM debut in Portimão, followed by the Lausitzring journey, which will take place between the 20th and 22nd of May and will coincide with the Portugal Rally.
Remember that Loeb won in Monte Carlo, with a Ford Puma, ahead of Ogier, in a Toyota Yaris, but neither of the two lined up later in Sweden nor is planned in Croatia.
Kalle Rovanpera (Toyota), winner in Sweden, leads the World Cup, ahead of Thierry Neuville (Hyundai).
