Live Poker | CAPT Salzburg: Offers end the PKO and the PLO
Yesterday, April 7th, there were two well-attended tournaments at the Casinos Austria Poker Tour (CAPT) Salzburg. Both the €150 + 18 Pot Limit Omaha and the €100 + 100 + 24 Progressive Knockout were dealt deals.
The €150 + 18 PLO tournament started in the afternoon. There were 25,000 chips and 25 minute levels, with 60 participants and 26 re-entries, €12,900 came into the pot. The top 13 places were paid, the min-cash was €350, the winner got €3,360. There were already numerous familiar faces at the tables such as Ilse Janda and Gunter Karl, Harald Szabo and Martin Frank from Prestige Poker in Switzerland, but Marc Gork also did the honors. Christoph Strehl was among those who had to do more, but in the end he was able to get the most money. A deal in the last seven players gave him the win and €3,000 in prize money.

However, some who fell by the wayside in PLO tried their luck in the €100 + 100 + 24 PKO tournament. There were 15,000 chips and 20 minute levels. The structure for the evening’s tournament was sporty but probably playable, according to player feedback. The very first PKO tournament at Casinos Austria was definitely fun. Many ladies were at the start, including win2day testimonial Jessica Teusl, but also 888poker figurehead Vivian Saliba. Again, there were numerous familiar faces at the tables. It was already after one o’clock when the bubble burst, shortly afterwards Jessica Teusl had to say goodbye to Ivan Mairhofer, who in turn finished work only minutes later. In the end, the prize money of €2,605 wasn’t paid out, there was a deal that brought Jakob Hilzensauer the win ahead of Pascal Pflock and Stefan Haitzmann, all three collected €1,860.
