Toulouse: bikers warn of potholes
The French Federation of Angry Bikers and the Mutuelle des Motards are renewing their “Easter eggs for potholes” operation on April 17 to warn of this danger.
A few days before the first round of the presidential elections, the question is back on the table. The French Federation of Angry Bikers and the Mutuelle des Motards alert on the state of the roads. They are renewing their Easter Eggs for Potholes operation on April 17th.
In this presidential election year 2022, candidates are invited to indicate on the site niddepoule.fr their measures to improve the state of the roads. “This awareness campaign, both strong and fun, should allow politicians to seize on a real subject of general interest”, explains the French Federation of Angry Bikers and the Mutuelle des Motards.
Awareness-raising action
The FFMC and the Mutuelle des Motards have informed all the campaign teams of the various candidates of their initiative. At the same time, they are deploying a massive communication campaign on social networks, in their offices, at motorcycle dealerships and encouraging motorcyclists to report any potholes found on the website and to place an Easter egg there on the 17th April.
A biker convoy is scheduled for Sunday morning in Toulouse and its outskirts to mark potholes. On that day, the proposals of the presidential candidates will be revealed. Despite Operation Potholes 2021, almost nothing has changed. France remains 18th in the world on the state of its roads. “It is a vector of accidents which can be fatal. The public authorities must realize that the road infrastructure is poorly maintained,” warns Maurice Caubel, FFMC 31 coordinator.
