As has been happening in recent weeks, maps from the European Center for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC) show a Europe painted mostly in red, the color that corresponds to the existence of 300 positive cases of COVID. -19 per 100 thousand inhabitants.
As can be seen in the most recent, regions in Eastern Europe, register a difficulty in the number of cases in Spain, thus being more recent possible the color orange (between 100 to 300 cases of COVID-19 per 100) thousand inhabitants, with few yellow zones (between 40 and 100 cases per 100,000 inhabitants).

the ECDC see thatin the week ending the 27th, the situation in Europe was well in March by a continued, if slower, increase in the number, up 4.6% compared to last week.
A proportionately higher increase of 14% could be observed among people aged 65 and over. According to the ECDC, the increase in cases in this age group was observed in 17 of the 26 countries that made data available. The case rate among people in this age group is now as high as the previous peak observed during the first wave of Ómicron variation.
It is recalled that, last week, Portugal turned dark red again after registering an improvement. By contrast, Spain has recorded a decline in the number of positive cases in several regions.
Like Portugal, most Western European countries were painted in red. In Eastern Europe there was a decrease in the number of positive cases, with some countries appearing in orange and some still in yellow.
