You are quite A play we naruto ? This is the question posed Joan of Arc high school of Rouen (Seine Maritime) to his smoking students. On a dedicated bin with cigarette butts of the establishment, in fact, a poster urging them to decide on their preference between the two famous Japanese manga.
Thus, all you have to do is throw your cigarette butt in the pile dedicated to your favorite manga among the two to make the pile grow. A way for the school to fight against cigarette butts thrown on the ground.
“Encouraging smokers to change their behavior”
This “polling ashtray”, similar to some that can already be seen in the antiques district, was installed on 1uh march at the entrance of the school by members of ZorroMégot. Based near Caen, the Norman association comes from the seinomarine company AuContraire! Consulting that helps companies and public authorities to implement ecologically and socially responsible actions.
Thus, the Jeanne-d’Arc high school is the first minister of Rouen to be equipped with such a device, as related by Marine Clément, in charge of communication. It was she who had the idea of proposing a survey between A play and Naruto. “The idea was to do something playful, in the trend, to encourage young smokers to change their behavior,” she notes.
Cigarette butts will be recycled
The project, financed by the Normandy Region, does not stop at the simple installation of a probing ashtray. Indeed, all cigarette butts will be regularly collected, then recycled in a factory in Brittany. “It is the filters of cigarettes that are recovered to be transformed into street furniture”, specifies Marine Clément.
To complete the process, awareness-raising operations were also carried out with high school students and school staff. “It’s a project that originates in the high school life council. The students who are supposed to be organizers of environmental awareness operations,” says Sandrine Compère, principal education adviser at Jeanne-d’Arc high school. It was after that the collaboration between the ZorroMégots association and the establishment was born.
To keep smokers alert, the polls will change regularly. For several days, the poster opposing One Piece or Naruto was thus sent back by another proposal to choose between two teams: “Tidying up” or “It’s a mess. »
