The best athletes of the previous year were awarded by Northern Hungary
“Thank you again for the recognition, unfortunately, the year 2021 will be determined by Covid, racing, competition organization and travel,” said László Mészáros. – We organized the WUAP World Cup here in Miskolc, so I had a lot to do, so I had to stand up, and as the last press of the last day. My wife was afraid of injury, I thought I was falling asleep on the bench because I was tired, but those who came out into the hall because of me gave me tremendous strength. On the third catch, I managed to reach the world record of 281 pounds, which was a great pleasure. I also won the GPC World Cup in Poland in the open category, although this was not my main race. I didn’t plan to start, but one of my teammates persuaded us to go. The conditions were not ideal, plus I had to race at 10am, but we did well. The atmosphere at the WPC Pro World Powerlifting Championships in Trofa, Portugal, was great, the people of the Mediterranean were extremely positive for everyone, and I was the best I could be here. In every race, I printed the most, at three world federations, at the age of 53. Comparing last year’s world results, I was second in America to gain more weight in a race of 290 pounds. Starting this season at the end of May, I have a calendar of where I want to go, with the final destination being the Olympia in Las Vegas in December. As a recruiting federal captain, my goal is to involve young people in the sport as well, we will launch a series called “Battle of Gyms”, there will be three competitions in Miskolc from the twenty-nation location, and we will welcome everyone interested.
Laying the foundations
Among the coaches, the board chose judo coach Ákos Bartha as the best, everything like a year ago.
“I am very pleased with the first place in the coaching category, it came as a surprise, feedback on the work I did,” said Ákos Bartha, MVSC’s master of juggling. – Undoubtedly we did well last year, we worked hard for our success and we will have to do it again this year. We are preparing for the big challenges ahead, the European and World Championships and the big tournaments. We want to collect medal prizes and big gold in these, we believe that in 2022 our club will have a good reputation. The Olympics are still a long way off, but we’re starting to lay the groundwork this year, as the five-ring qualifying period begins in June. At MVSC, both the material and material conditions are in place, so I believe and I know we are looking forward to successful months again.
Positive feedback
The rally pair András Hadik and Krisztián Kertész triumphed in the team, the representatives of this sport last won in 2013.
“The spring year will be memorable in all respects,” says András Hadik. – We managed to win a very strong, high-quality Hungarian championship, a former world rally champion and renowned foreign competitors also played in a field. As before, we were upstairs and experienced great depth. Overall, however, we delivered a solid performance, collecting points, so we had the opportunity to defend our previous lead in the final race. Luckily we did well again, we became champions under memorable conditions. For me, this was already the fourth priority of my career, which is kind to my heart like the previous three. I am very happy that we were once again considered in the election of the best athlete in the county, this election, this success is another positive feedback on the work done. The Hungarian championship is very strong this year as well, so we may have an even harder time if we want to stay on top. Our goal, however, is back, because anyone who has already tasted victory does not want to give up.
