If he is on track to be crowned Ligue 2 champion at the end of the season, the FC Toulouse can boast of being one of the winners of the… “Pixel War”. From 1uh as of April 5, 2022, the social network Reddit was the scene of a “pixel war” which opposed Internet users from all over the world. A virtual conflict that made the buzz on Twitter and Tic.
Flag, crescent and Zizou
Concretely, each Internet user could color one pixel every five minutes. Placed end to end, these pixels made it possible to create drawings. The bigger they are, the better.
But these works could be attacked by other communities by changing the color of the pixels to erase and/or replace the original drawing.
At the call of several French streamers, including Kameto (663,000 followers on Twitter), Internet users in France rallied en masse to anchor symbols such as the tricolour flag, the Arc de Triomphethe Crescent but also Zinedine Zidane.
The TFC forever on the virtual web
Toulouse FC supporters were also ready to play. And despite attacks from other players around the world, they managed to engrave a reference to Téfécé (and the Occitan cross!) in the digital marble.
This 2.0 work also celebrates two Téfécé players: the metronome Branco van den boomen which has been delighting the Stadium since the start of the season, and Rhys Healeythe British striker who gave the victory to the Violets, Saturday April 2, against the FC Paris (2-1).
