the famous Mister Freeze exhibition back in Toulouse
Mister Freeze returns to the pink city for 2022. This ephemeral exhibition of Street art is held until May 8 in the former premises of the Maison de la peinture in Toulouse. 70 artists from France and abroad exhibit in 3600m2 of space.
In 2022, the Mister Freeze exhibition is making a comeback in Toulouse. This event, eagerly awaited by fans of Street art, which promotes urban art, is taking place in the Minimes district, in the former premises of the Maison de la peinture until May 8th.
Graffiti artists have taken possession of 3500m2 of space. A unique exhibition of urban art entitled “Out of the blue”.
From the entrance, the graffiti expresses itself in all its forms and in all the colors. Works produced by local and worldwide artists, emerging or recognized.
Gorg-One, for example, painted an ephemeral mural of 100m2 on the ground. Originally from the Marseille region, the 42-year-old artist with a degree in art has lived in Reunion for about ten years, it is also there that you can see its colorful frescoes on the facades.
His presence at Mister Freeze gives him the opportunity to gain visibility.
This is the first time I’ve shown this work. I would like it to bring dreams and joy.
In total, 70 artists like Gorg-One took possession of the premises for this 9th edition of Mister Freeze. A jumble of works to discover on the walls, on canvases, gigantic installations, but also and above all a plurality of techniques and know-how that give pride of place to urban culture.
We had a hard time introducing this commercial art environment because we don’t evolve in the same worlds. So we created Mister Freeze. We wanted to feel good in our exhibition. We chose it as we are, in a disused place to welcome our audience inside and make them aware of what we love.

The event also gives pride of place to urban culture as a whole. With for example workshops skate or BMX, but also concerts and break dance battles which are also on the program.
Introductions to graffiti as well as guided tours will also be offered. For those who want to express themselves freely, a free wall is even offered to neo graffiti artists, from 4 to 77 years old.
This exhibition will also be an opportunity to close the history of the Maison de la peinture. This emblematic building, which saw the birth of a family business, located at 105 boulevard de Suisse, is doomed to destruction as part of the construction of the 3rd metro line.
Most of the works will therefore be destroyed along with their supports. But the organization of a large auction will however save some of it.
