Pré Billy eco-district: setting up an innovative energy network
Thursday, March 31 is the laying of the “first stone” of the first 100% carbon-free heating network in Haute-Savoie: the Smart Grid
What is the Smart Grid?
In our regions, the heat in summer is abundant while in winter, the cold felt is important.
The Smart Grid technique consists of storing summer heat and winter cold in a huge reservoir, then redistributing the energy collected as needed!
For this, below our feet, 200 meters above the ground, the energy is therefore no longer created, but collected, stored and returned. All the buildings in the Pré Billy eco-district will be interconnected by the system in order to be able to exchange their energy according to needs in mid-season, for example.

Consultation at the heart of the project:
Since 2017, the Greater Annecy conurbation, the City of Annecy and the promoter have been offering consultation meetings to residents to discuss various themes related to the district through public meetings, mini-meetings or thematic workshops.
The public can come and discover the project at the Maison du Projet at 66 route de la Ravoire in Pringy, every other Wednesday from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. A model of the project, an exhibition and flyers are made available to residents. The dedicated website also allows you to keep abreast of progress.
