Russia will lift co-restrictions for friendly countries. Slovakia is missing among them
Russia lifted travel restrictions imposed after 9 April as a result of a coronavirus pandemic before 52 “friends” countries that did not join the West and did not impose sanctions on Moscow for invading Ukraine. Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, quoted by Reuters, announced this on Monday.
Russia will resume flights to Argentina, South Africa and other “friendly countries”, Mishustin said.
Russia imposed extensive travel restrictions in March 2020 – at the beginning of the pandemic. of these restrictions still apply, but Russia has gradually expanded the list of many countries for “safe”, for which air traffic restrictions have been received, recall Reuters.
Russian authorities have announced that other countries to which flights will resume after 9 April include Algeria, China, Lebanon, Peru and Pakistan. At the same time, Prime Minister Mishustin added that Russia was also easing travel restrictions on its land borders with China.
Reuters recalls that Russia has recently created its airspace for a skilled 36 countries, including all 27 member states of the European Union. It reacted to similar sanctions imposed by the West on its airlines and the aviation industry for invading Ukraine.
