“The players are doing what they can but more needs to be done”
Benoît Tavenot, assistant coach of FC Metz: “It’s a new defeat… In the content, we found things, in particular the offensive drive. All is not perfect, we take two but avoidable. But that’s not cheating. It is not a concern to wet the jersey, the players do what they can but more needs to be done. It is up to us to find the solutions. In three weeks, we will know. On what I saw today in the investment, the will not to let go of anything, I still believe in it. We lack aggressiveness but it’s not because we let go. Players are struggling athletically, mentally. It’s a difficult situation to live sportingly, it plays on the organisms too. We are waiting for the victory which should allow us to let go completely. As I said before, there is nothing more to calculate. Others have done it, series like that. From what we have shown, I don’t see why we couldn’t do it. It’s just me, but we’re not the worst team in Ligue 1.”
Philippe Clément, Monaco coach: “We knew it’s never easy to play against teams that are fighting to stay in Ligue 1. It was very important to take the three points. I think we could do better on the corn but he’s exceptional, I don’t think he does that every weekend. Afterwards, I’m happy because we created a lot of chances. On some merit to win. It’s important to have better statistics than the opponent, it increases the chances of winning. »
