Listen Festival is back with more attention to the experience of going out than ever | Brussels
BrusselsIn Flagey, Fuse, or at a Brussels station. Listen is everywhere in Brussels. The festival takes place over four days and includes talks, panels, concerts and dancing until the early hours.
Listen Festival has been postponed since 2020 but can now run wild again. The festival takes place simultaneously in several original locations. At the Brussels Congress station, at the techno temple Fuse, BUDA BXL, the Planetarium, Flagey and others. They bring together music from Belgium and the surrounding area and channel it to the public through concerts, discussion tables and dance nights until the early hours. Some activities are free and others are paid.
Now that the nightlife is revived, listening wants to draw more attention to how we want to experience that nightlife in a safe way: “With the reopening of the nightlife we will start over with some issues related to it. included are even more present than ever in our sector: explicit problems such as violence against minorities, harassment of women and problems related to illegal substances. There is still a long way to go to create a healthy and sustainable sector where the public, artists and professionals can connect until the early hours in a safe environment. Listen wants to provide a platform to think about these topics, highlight the current ones and come up with new ones.”
The festival started on March 30 and is now entering its last day.
