UN new college will emerge at Toulouse. Friday 1uh April, the city council of Toulouse voted for the transfer for a symbolic euro of land owned by the municipality, so that the county council can build this establishment there.
Malepere district
This land is located in the heart of the Malepère district, southeast of Toulouse, a district that will welcome thousands of inhabitants in the years to come.

From nursery to college
“The goal is to allow the children of this neighborhood to complete their school career, from nursery to 3andclose to home,” says Annette Laigneau, the deputy in charge of town planning in Toulouse.
The future college will be located next to a school group which will also be integrated to cope with the inevitable demographic pressure which will occur in this sector of the city.
A plot of 4.5 hectares
All of this equipment, namely the college, the school group, a crossroads to be developed and the access road, will be deployed on this land of approximately 4.5 hectares.
To carry out this operation, which will go beyond the construction of the college, the three project owners (the town hall of Toulouse, Toulouse Métropole, and the departmental council, editor’s note) will share the technical and financial burden in proportion to the area developed by each project (56% for the county council, 18% for the town hall and 26% for Toulouse Métropole).
For the start of the 2024 school year?
This college with 600 places was scheduled for the start of the 2024 school year according to the first announcements. It will relieve the Bellevue, Anatole France, Marcelin Berthelot in Toulouse and André Malraux colleges in Ramonville/Saint-Agne.
