The Netherlands can be proud of the reception of Ukrainian refugees
Fleeing from suffering is the very first human right, writes Zihni zdil† He has had enough of the bickering of left and right opinion makers about it. He sees how the rest of the Netherlands is tirelessly committed to arranging shelter and education for those fleeing suffering in Ukraine.
We were only a handful. Homo sapiens was almost 70,000 years ago extinct† According to some studies, there were even only a piece of 40 breeding pairs.

You could say that fleeing from suffering is the very first human right. Normally a secure bond in the new home after the flight. There is no rooting without secure attachment. And without rooting, no person is complete. Something from my own family history can help.
Syrian refugees
More than ten million Ukrainians, a quarter of the population, have been forced to leave their homes as a result of the aggression of Russian President Vladimir Putin. flee† More than four million of them sought safe shelter abroad.
There are currently more than 10,000 Ukrainian refugees in the Netherlands. That number will increase. The cabinet is taking into account that eventually there will be 15,000 to 25,000 children of compulsory school age.
In the past month I have watched with shame how left-wing Dutch commentators did better treatment than Syrian refugees because of their skin color.
