Toulouse ZFE: which vehicles will benefit from derogations
Bikers from “The Templars on the Road” have been coming out regularly since a against its set up for motorcycles. “We only represent 1 or 2% of the traffic, we make it more fluid, and there we will be banned from circulars in these areas”, protests Johnny, president of the association.
“A question of freedom, social equality”
After a quick visit to the garage where the meeting took place, a few questions and explanations on the particularities of Harley Davidson engines, the candidate for Stand up France! exchanged with Johnny and other members of the association present.
“I am here, today, in Toulouse, because it is the first agglomeration to have launched a ZFE. I want to put an end to all ZFEs. It is a question of freedom, of social equality, declared, Nicolas Dupont-Aignan, during this meeting. If the mayor wants to make provisions for the city center of Toulouse, I am not against it, but there we prevent people from circulars in agglomeration. The ZFE is segregation by money: if you are poor or you simply cannot afford an electric vehicle, you will not be able to drive.”
The suspension of technical control for motorcycles and the arrival of noise radars were also mentioned in the conversations. “It doesn’t stop for bikers,” laments Johnny. With the members of the association, they urged the candidate, and deputy, to bring the subject of EPZs before the National Assembly. “I fight, I fight,” he assured them.
