Nantes consolidated their second place by winning at Créteil while Toulouse signed a third victory in a row against Saran. Saint-Raphaël, for its part, got the better of the red lantern Nancy.
Nantes is well annexed to second place. The “H” consolidated its role as dolphin of PSG by signing a hilly but precious victory in Créteil, which remained on two consecutive successes. Better entered the match, the teammates of Valero Rivera (10 goals on 11 shots) counted up to six goals in advance before the conclusion of the first quarter of an hour. The Cristoliens then reacted and lost a 5-0 to Nantes to get closer. From there, Boïba Sissoko’s USC (6 goals on 8 shots) ran behind in the score until the 49th minute. It was then that Tomas Piroch (5 goals from 7 shots) gave Créteil the lead for the first…and last time in the game. Indeed, in the process, Nantes regained control and irretrievably flew to a four-length victory (31-35) which temporarily gives it a three-point lead over Aix, which faces PSG this Sunday.
Toulouse continues on its transmission
In addition to PSG and Montpellier, the team in form at the moment is Toulouse. The Fenix took advantage of Saran’s reception to pocket a third straight win and a fourth unbeaten game. The Toulousains, under the impetus of Erwin Feuchtmann (10 goals on 12 shots) took control on the scoreboard but, as half-time approached, the Septors rebelled to return to height without however pass in front of the bulletin board. Hadrien Ramond’s teammates (6 goals on 7 shots) once again made a good comeback at the start of the last ten minutes after being led by three goals for most of the second half. However, Toulouse was able to increase the tone at the end of the match to secure its victory by four lengths (31-27). A success that allows Fenix to take a three-point lead over Chambéry, beaten by Nîmes on Friday when Saran remains on the edge of the red zone.
Saint-Raphaël push Nancy a little further
A relegation zone in which Nancy remains well stuck. While Istres will challenge Montpellier this Sunday, the Lorraine region conceded their 19th defeat of the season on the Saint-Raphaël floor. A meeting whose first watchword was indecision. Indeed, until the very last moments of the first period, the gap between the two formations never exceeded two goals… in favor of Nancy, who could count on Tiago Rocha (12 goals on 12 shots) . It was back on the floor that the SRVHB took control and gradually widened the gap. Vadim Gayduchenko (8 goals from 10 shots) and the Varois won by eight goals (35-27) and came within one point of Cesson-Rennes and Chambéry. Nancy, for her part, remains three points behind Istres and five behind Saran in the maintenance race.
