“Devota” exhibits its boards at the National Council – Pages Monaco
The National Council is organizing an exhibition, open to all, in the glass roof, which presents superb plates representative of the comic strip “Devota, itinerary of a martyr, from Corsica to Monaco”.
On this occasion, the exhibition was stopped this Thursday, April 1 in the presence of the team behind this Monegasque project, by President Stéphane Valeri, Brigitte Boccone-Pagès, Vice-President of the National Council, Daniel Boeri, President of the Commission for Culture and Heritage and Michèle Dittlot, Vice-President of the latter.
The comic strip will need two years of work for the whole team: the patrons Roger Rossi and Guy Boscagli, the authors Yvon Bertorello (idea and editorial direction) and Eric Stoffel (script and drawings), Frédéric Allali for the drawings and Bruno Pradelle for the colors, as well as Sylvana Santino Rossi and Stéphan Maggi.
This book retraces, in drawings and bubbles, the story of this young Christian girl, martyred in Corsica and who became the Patroness of Monegasques, who celebrates her every January 26 and 27.
This 54-page album, prefaced by HSH Prince Albert II and Monsignor Dominique-Marie David, Archbishop of Monaco, was published by Éditions du Rocher and is available for sale in bookstores and on the internet: https://devota.net /or buy/. All of the profits from this comic strip are donated to charitable associations in the Principality.
Along with elected Monegasque officials, the first visitors to this exhibition will be European parliamentarians, presidents of delegations from the Parliamentary Assembly of La Francophonie (APF), meeting at the National Council from this Sunday 3 April.
Exhibition open to the public (free admission), from Tuesday April 5 until the beginning of June, from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the National Council.
