Szijjártó: Hungary has emerged stronger from the crises of the last twelve years
The government has maintained its previous position during the coronavirus epidemic, so instead of a policy based on austerity and aid, it has opted for tax cuts, investment incentives and a society based on society, said Péter Szijjártó, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, in Mezőtúr on Friday.
According to the announcement of the ministry, the head of the ministry reported that the state supported the development of FF Fémfeldolgozó Zrt. The products of the company, which manufactures metal structures, are mainly used in the fields of gastronomy and healthcare.
In his speech, he emphasized that the epidemic brought back the debates on the fundamental transformation of Hungarian economic policy, which had already been held in 2010. However, despite the crisis, the government has insisted on a successful policy until then, using public funds to prevent unemployment and announcing one of the most significant investment promotion programs of all time.
Péter Szijjártó emphasized that in the last two years, 1434 companies have been supported in their investments, helping to save 270,000 jobs across the country. It is 80 percent domestically owned, which is a good indication that these companies have been able to strengthen since 2010.
The record for the Hungarian economy, in particular, was 2021. Again, the “world economy was still looking for sure,” he said, stating that Hungary had emerged stronger from the crises of the past twelve years.
Finally, the minister said that the production value of the Hungarian metal industry had risen to 38 last year, reaching HUF 3,400 billion.
He then mentioned that 48 companies in Jász-Nagykun-Szolnok County participated in the investment promotion program, in the framework of which HUF 14 billion in state support was implemented in the total amount of HUF 34 billion, thus helping to preserve 12,600 jobs.
