Since midnight, Switzerland has no longer been in the “special situation” according to the Epidemics Act; it has returned to the «normal situation». This means that health is once again the main responsibility of the canton. They are free to order protective measures against Covid-19 in their area.
The cantons of Bern, Geneva and Valais stipulate masks
For example, the cantons of Bern, Geneva and Valais are doing the same and continue to prescribe masks in hospitals and retirement and nursing homes. Neuchâtel will be published if recommended. Individual institutions can also order masks to be worn, as the health directors (GDK) announced.

From Friday, anyone who has tested positive for Corona no longer has to be in isolation for at least five days on official instructions. However, before the measures were lifted, the authorities repeatedly called for people to stay at home and get tested if they had symptoms. In this case, the federal government will continue to bear the test costs.
The Covid app, which warns of possible infections after contact with infected people, has been temporarily deactivated. Depending on how the epidemiological situation develops in the winter of 2022/2023, it should be possible to resume operation of the app quickly.
