Annecy. Five young people from Épanou will live the Dream of Icare
For 18 years, the pilots of the Aéroclub d’Annecy Haute-Savoie based in Meythet have offered discovery flights by plane to sick or disabled children as part of the Telethon and have encouraged donations for research.
Scheduled for December, the flights had been postponed due to the weather
The Aeroclub chooses a new association each year. For this new edition, five young people from the L’Épanou de Seynod medical-educational institute and their companions are therefore invited to a discovery flight this Saturday, April 2, flights initially scheduled for December 2021 and postponed due to bad weather conditions.
The financing of the flights is provided by the pilots who are members of the Aéroclub, who have made every effort and left the necessary infrastructures available for the success of this beautiful aerial journey. The circuit proposed by Diamond DA40 plane will be: Annecy-Meythet, Thônes, Faverges and return by flying over the lake.
Other animations will be proposed: fictitious flights on Flight Simulator, origami with folding of paper planes and launching and guided tour of the aerodrome, the Aeroclub, planes and ULM.
The Aeroclub encourages donations for research with the presence of an urn in the club lounge for the collection of donations. The latter will make a donation in favor of the Telethon for each hour of flight carried out with the young people of Épanou.
It will also organize the “Flights for a donation” operation: during the same period, the pilots will be able to invite one or more people they know who will commit to making a donation.
Flights will be rescheduled to Saturday April 9 in case of bad weather.
