“Jentl” at the Jewish Theater was based on a text by Isaac Bashevis Singer and Leah Napolin, whose play “Yentl” became an honor on Broadway. Introducing Robert Talarczyk to the show of solidarity with women. Those from centuries ago and those fighting for their rights today. The story of a Jentle girl who became Freedom understood as the right to make decisions with her own conscience and a vision of herself in the world around us.
“I wanted to be free, I have what I want” – sing Jentl in the performance by Robert Talarczyk. This declaration sounds bitter, but it has a cultivation and determination that wants to change not only the world, but the traditions and habits of others.
This world, well-known for its canonical paintings and films, such as “Fiddler on the Roof”, “The Magician of Lublin” or “The Dybbuk”, is put by Jentl-Anszel before the master achieves the struggle for an individual’s victory, victory or women’s self-determination.
“Jentl” to a musical performance with a place of residence by Hadrian Filip Tabęcki, with music played live.
Translation into Ukrainian – Gala Bucman.
